It's hard out here...

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 12:28 PM
Life is tough sometimes. Today for example could have turned out to be an amazing day...but it just wasn't so. First off, Ashley and I had plans to go to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner tonight to have a nice semi-fancy evening out since it's the last dinner we will be having for awhile. Then I get a text message from her, she got pulled over and got a 140 dollar speeding ticket. Since money is tight in this world, I decided that it would be best for us to cancel dinner plans.

Then as the day progressed, I got a phone call from a temp agency. They said they had a job from 6am till 2pm tomorrow that paid eleven bucks and hour. This was perfect because my plan didn't leave until 7:20 so i'd have plenty of time to back and make sure I was good to go. And all that money would be a huge help once I'm back home. Then I get a call back saying I need steel toed work boots for the job. Sadly the only pair I could get would be from Ashely's dad, and they are a size to small, which would kill my feet. So...I had to call and tell them I couldn't take the job.

So now...here I sit in the apartment...My last full day in Vermont turning out not nearly as bright as i was hoping for. I mean, it was my choice for me to go home, So I'm the one incurring all these consequences on myself. If I stayed here, hell I'm almost certain to have a job by now. It's the financially sound move to stay here. Hell I could even join a new aikido dojo just 15 minutes down the road.

But I made my choice, I needed time, I needed my friend, I needed space.

But in doing so, I might just be costing everyone i know money.

I finally got around to reading some of your stuff on here. You would've thought I would have gotten around to it sooner. You are really good and I don't see why you can't write more. I'll hear none of the pessimistic views on yourself this time. I think you can if you really want to. Personally, I would love to read something you wrote now.
Thanks for the watch:D I appreciate it!:glomp:

Tuck your chin; you're going to get hurt, so expect it and be ready; you may as well see it coming.
you're very welcome:D
